The Writers' Study is a non-profit making, self-help group aimed at aspiring writers of all ages, from the complete novice to those more experienced.
There are three terms of six fortnightly evening session a year. Writers' Study is NOT a teaching group, but we help you find a market or agent for your work, you'll receive details of competitions and through reading and discussion learn from each other.
We hold manuscript reading and review, writing exercises, workshops with experienced tutors, competitions, talks by published authors and occasional social events.
Since 2005 we have had many successes. Three members have had books published. Several of our group, both past and present, have won prizes in competitions and had poetry, articles and stories accepted by magazines. Two former members have gone on to study creative writing at University level.
Above all, the aim is to make writing fun - all you need is enthusiasm.
